Our history
Back in 2010, four friends with the same motivation decided to create an engineering company, with the aim of building innovative solutions, and developing quality systems that add value to the market.
From our first offices in Sant Cugat del Valles, to our implantation in the 22 @ technology district of Barcelona, numerous projects of high responsibility have positioned us as a reference company for our customers, which includes public and private organizations.
Our position in the market is based on our close understanding of the sector and each client’s needs, which has allowed us to deliver innovative and tailor-made solutions.
As early as 2021, having overcome many obstacles, we can proudly define ourselves as a Technological and Engineering Company highly specialized in the development and integration of ICT solutions.

Altech founded

2011
ARTEMIS Launching
Development of the fleet management platform that support multi-communications.
EADS Certification (Airbus)
Altech technology approval for data transmission over TETRAPOL network
First offices in Barcelona City
Altech establishes its first offices in the “Las tres Torres” of Avenida Meridiana
2012
Hermes Platform Launching
Development of a security and Access control software solution, and a new line of hardware equipment from our own production.
Participation in the European Project MACICO
Altech is part of the Spanish consortium, formed together with Cellnex and Genaker, which participates in the European project MACICO (Multi-Agency Cooperation in Cross-border Operations) for the interoperability of Security Bodies and Organizations.
2013
On board solution for Emergency services
Development of ARTEMIS Mobile
Development of ARTEMIS Mobile installed on board emergency services vehicles to help them manage ambulances and fire interventions.
2014
Consolidation in the security sector
The Port of Tarragona is equipped with the HERMES security and access control solution.
Consolidation in the emergency sector
SUMA 112 and SEM vehicle fleet are equipped with Altech’s solution for emergency management.
2015
Moved our headquarter to the Barcelona 22@ technological district
Altech continues to grow and moves its headquarters to 22@, the technological district of Barcelona.
Altech reinforce its position in Mobility Sector
Development and implementation of an information and management system for the municipal crane service of the city of Barcelona.
2016
Altech went into the Environmental Sector
Development of a street cleaning service and waste collection in urban or rural areas management platform.
Development of IoT and Smart Cities Solutions
Altech develops and manufactures a range of IoT equipment directed to telemetry sector in the field of Smart Cities.
2017
Consolidation in the Mobility Sector
Development of an integrated urban mobility management platform (Crane management, public park inspection, deposits and residents’ management)
2018
Launching an Indoor Positioning System
Altech combines its knowledge in the field of mobility, communications and IoT, to develop an Indoor Positioning System.
2019
Big step in the Defense sector
Altech designs and implements an on-board multi-communication for the fleet of vehicles of the system for the Military Emergencies Unit (UME)
New products in the mobility field
LPR systems are incorporated into Altech’s portfolio of solutions in mobile environments, using on-board cameras in vehicles and OCR engines in mobile devices.
2020
Company restructuring
Altech increases its team by 25% and is divided into 4 business units: Transport and Logistics, Defense and Security, Emergencies and Urban Services
Quality certifications
Altech obtain the ISO 9001:2015 quality certificate and the ISO 14001:2015 environmental management certificate.

Thanks to the growth experienced in recent years, ALTECH is moving to new offices with more than 1,000 m2 in the 22@ technology district of Barcelona.
New corporate image
ALTECH updates its corporate image, renewing the logo and the main lines of its corporate visual identity with the aim of reinforcing and modernizing its brand image.
