In a new milestone of innovation and commitment to national security, ALTECH, in collaboration with Renault Trucks, has supplied and installed 10 state-of-the-art 2.0 positioning systems for VMI (Medium Intervention Vehicles) belonging to the Military Emergency Unit (UME).

The new on-board systems, designed specifically for extreme operating environments, are military-approved and offer a comprehensive communication and navigation solution for advanced vehicle management during critical situations. Among other features, these new devices offer:

  • High-precision geopositioning.
  • Real-time telemetry.
  • Multi-channel communications (LTE, Tetrapol and INMARSAT).
  • Tactical database.
  • Assisted navigation.

Thanks to these features, the UME can act more quickly, effectively, and in a more coordinated way during emergency interventions, such as natural disasters or structural collapses. The integration of these systems represents a significant leap in the UME’s operational capabilities, facilitating decision-making and efficient coordination among teams deployed in the field.

‘At a time when every second counts, equipping intervention teams with robust and reliable technology is not a luxury, it is a necessity,’ says an ALTECH spokesperson.
