The Metropolitan Water Supply and Sanitation Company of Seville SA (EMASESA), in a clear commitment to the environment, has entrusted ALTECH with the implementation of a fleet management and control solution that will allow for more efficient and sustainable management of all its vehicles.
The new management system, whose deployment was completed last May, will allow EMASESA to achieve the objectives set in its sustainable mobility plan, including optimizing the management of its fleet of more than 200 vehicles and promoting the use of electric and low-consumption vehicles, which account for 50% of the total fleet.

EMASESA fleet managers will have access to a web application from which they can operate and manage the entire system easily and intuitively.
Through this application, they will be able to access features typical of a fleet management system, such as monitoring the real-time location of vehicles, viewing delayed journeys, or recording fuel consumption and mileage. They will also be able to access other unique features aimed at optimizing EMASESA’s resources:
- Electric vehicle and charging station management: obtaining the battery charge level of electric vehicles (kWh stored in the battery) and integrating it with the charging system to optimize the vehicle charging process and increase battery life.
- Advanced Driver Identification: A set of mechanisms for identifying the vehicle driver and notifying them of alerts about the obligation to perform this action beforehand.
- Carpooling management: Automating the reservation process and obtaining vehicle keys among different users. This feature was made possible thanks to the development carried out by ALTECH for the integration of ASSA-ABLOY cabinets.
- Efficient driving and driver safety: a set of automatic aids and notifications via voice messages to improve driving safety, maximize efficient driving, and optimize vehicle maintenance and hygiene.
- Complete dashboard: a set of indicators integrated with EMASESA’s corporate systems that provide a complete view of the overall situation and activity of the fleet.
This set of functionalities and features of the new management system implemented by EMASEA allows for the optimization of fleet utilization and the prioritization of vehicles with the lowest emissions, significantly reducing CO2 emissions from the fleet and mitigating the effects of climate change.
All in all, the mobility management solution implemented by ALTECH has brought about a substantial change in EMASESA’s operations, allowing it to meet the objectives set out in its Climate Emergency Plan and providing it with new, updated tools ready to meet the challenges posed by EMASESA’s sustainable mobility plan.
