Barcelona de Serveis Municipals (B:SM), in collaboration with ALTECH, presents the new Park Güell mobile application, a tool designed to transform the visitor experience at Antoni Gaudí’s iconic park.
This project reinforces the commitment to technological innovation applied to cultural environments, facilitating a more inclusive, intuitive and personalised experience for all park visitors.

An application designed for all visitors
The application has been designed with a user-centred approach, incorporating specific features that allow the experience to be adapted to different accessibility needs, including cognitive, sensory and mobility functional diversity.
Its main features include:
- Content adapted in different formats (text, audio, video and images)
- Easy-read content and accessible audio guides
- Use of pictograms and adapted visual resources
- Personalised accessibility settings from the start of the experience
This allows any visitor, regardless of their abilities, to enjoy Park Güell independently and in an enriching way.
Smart, guided navigation within the park
The application integrates an interactive digital map that serves as the main navigation hub. Through it, users can: locate themselves in real time within the park, consult points of interest, follow recommended itineraries according to their profile or needs, and identify accessible or lower-difficulty routes.
In addition, the system allows different layers of information to be displayed, facilitating orientation and improving visit planning.
Exclusive new features: News, Events Calendar and Ticket Management
Beyond the accessibility features, the new app incorporates brand-new modules that considerably expand its usefulness:
- News and Events Calendar section: The application automatically displays the latest news related to Park Güell (restorations, access changes, cultural initiatives) as well as the full calendar of activities and events: themed guided tours, workshops, exhibitions, concerts and special celebrations.
- Ticket Management: The app includes a dedicated section for checking and purchasing tickets. It provides information on the different types of ticket available (general, guided tour, group, etc.) and facilitates access to the official purchasing platform.
Technology without barriers or connectivity issues
To ensure its usefulness throughout the park, the app features a full offline mode, allowing access to maps, itineraries and multimedia guides even without an internet connection. In addition, its modular architecture allows for the future incorporation of Augmented Reality technologies.
