ALTECH is participating as a partner company in the PERTE project for the Electric and Connected Vehicle (ECV), led by the Volkswagen Group and SEAT S.A.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The company is part of the working group that will carry out the design, development, and industrialization of a new generation of electric and connected vehicles. Specifically, it will contribute its expertise in vehicle connectivity and in the design and development of various management applications.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The partners of Future: Fast Forward, led by the Volkswagen Group and SEAT S.A., registered the PERTE project for the Electric and Connected Vehicle (ECV) on May 4th, with the aim of making Spain an electric vehicle hub in Europe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Comprised of a total of 62 national and international companies, leading companies from different sectors, it constitutes the largest business group in the history of the automotive industry in Spain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is a national project that brings together companies from 11 autonomous communities (Andalusia, Aragon, Cantabria, Castile and Le\u00f3n, Catalonia, the Community of Madrid, the Community of Valencia, Extremadura, Galicia, Navarre, and the Basque Country), 61% of which are SMEs. Together, they cover the entire electric vehicle value chain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The project presented today, which included collaboration with PwC, is comprised of four main pillars. The driving force behind the project, led by SEAT S.A. and the Volkswagen Group, aims to electrify the Martorell and Pamplona factories. The second pillar of the business group’s project is the creation of the entire battery ecosystem for electric cars in Spain, encompassing everything from lithium mining to battery assembly, including a battery gigafactory in Sagunto (Valencia).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The third pillar involves locating essential components for electric vehicles in Spain, and the fourth includes areas related to training, digitalization, and the circular economy. Overall, the project covers all nine blocks of the Electric and Connected Vehicle PERTE.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

First General Assembly of Future: Fast Forward Partners<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Last Friday, the first general assembly of Future: Fast Forward partners was held in Madrid, with the participation of representatives from all the companies involved in the project. Marc Riera, Director of Procurement Strategy and New Projects at SEAT S.A., has been appointed president of the general assembly of the Future: Fast Forward group, a representative body that will meet at least twice a year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Future: Fast Forward partners have also formed a delegated committee, which will meet periodically to ensure compliance with the PERTE (Perte). This committee will also be chaired by Marc Riera.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition, three governance committees have been created in association with this assembly. The Audit and Oversight Committee will be chaired by Blanca Montero, an economist, independent member of the General Council of the ICO (Spanish National Institute of Statistics and Census), and a member of the Board of Trustees of the Banco Sabadell Foundation. The Risk and Compliance Committee will be chaired by Ignacio Gonz\u00e1lez, a lawyer and external advisor to the Board of Directors of Grupo Ferrer International S.A. & UNIRPROEDUCA. There will also be a Finance Committee, chaired by Ferran Rodr\u00edguez, an independent external advisor and current president of the Spanish Institute of Chartered Accountants. Each of these committees is independent and will report to the general assembly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The group will also have a Project Management Office (PMO) that will be responsible for closely monitoring the progress of the project. It will ensure compliance with the established deadlines and budget allocations for the various investments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
